I was not at this race, but I am sure many open wheel fans that were there that day, will never forget - Johnny Rutherford at Eldora Speedway, Ohio on 3 April 1966.

"Rutherford suffered two broken arms and multiple bruises about the head and face." Motorsport Annual Pictorial 1966-67 Edition.

I was right there inside turn 2. Back then it was a long way down to the creek.
