No attacks were personal just griping about "the law". Its ok, I can take it. I just had a crappy day and was tired of taking peoples crap for a bit. I will explain anything I can to the best of my ability. I forgot Chuck lives in Ohio....its all different state to state. For god's sake dont get caught with a gun in Illinois! My father in law travels for a living and says Ohio is insane about tickets.

Instead of bashing the police officer(s) for doing their jobs and enforcing the stupid laws as they are required to do so and probably ordered to do so by their superiors do some research when it comes voting time. Research the laws and find out what legislator(s) introduced the bill and which one voted for the stupid laws to be passed and then vote them out of office at ******** time. Don't bash the police because they are doing a job just like you are to do yours.

Granted I went to my car often when ever there was down time or a class I did not want to see and because you could not carry beer in to the track. I park close to the front gate for this very reason.

Here is the topper. As I was going to my car for a cold beer my name and licesne plate number was announce over the PA. I thought someone had hit my car. When I arrived there was 3 cops standing next to my car and they asked me how I got there so fast. I told them I was already on my way because of lack of action on the track.

They asked me what I had in my trunk, as their dope dog got a hit on my car. I told them, BEER. They laughed, and asked to search my trunk. I said have at it, but let me get a beer first. I got my beer.

They searched my trunk,my girl friends purse, my cooler and my trash bag that I use to keep my trash in. But what was funny, they did not look in my car or into the folding chairs in a bag I had in the back of the trunk.

I think this was a scam to find some minor infraction that they could sight one for. When they ran my plate, they knew right then I was clean with no record, why the harssment? It is a money game. Like The ' Burg has not got enought money from the casino.

If they were really looking for drugs, I would think the parking garage at The Casino would be a better place to look.

If this kind of police harassment keeps up, I can see the L'Burg Speeedway going down the tubes.

I have second thoughts about going back.
I know what they were looking for......They thought you kidnapped Bozo!!!!!!!!!! Guido Rueben

I mean no disrespect Onlydirt but I would hope cops are looking for bigger fish to fry than wasting time writing seatbelt tickets. I know I have contributed to many fourth of July officers parties with tickets that were pretty marginal to say the least. I just wish I saw more cops looking and helping fight the real criminals and offenders than easy pickens to generate some cash. The cops that just sit in a hidden area with a radar gun is pretty lame. I would rather see them driving around and keeping an eye on things and show their presence than hiding in some weeds to ticket someone going 10 over on a fast moving highway.

Depends on what your asigned to do that day...sometimes its Big CIty Big County Seatbelt Patrol (Federal Program/Grant), Radar, or just general patrol and calls for service. Go to your local police department and see if they have a ride a long program, sheds some light on what the job is really about.

It appears to be even worse in Taxachusetts. It's the easy take down - less resource time spent to make the same amount of money. Its the business of the local government to use the judicial system to fund the ridiculous social initiatives. I never blame the cops (unless they are total ****** bags) but generally blame the brass.
