The feature wasn't as good last night as expected, especially after the heats and dash were so good. This place is way cool - and the event is a big deal out here. The campground set-up is almost overwhelming. Sweet was fast early but a broken front wing in the dash set him back. Then he spun on the feature's first lap. He came back out 3 laps down to salvage some gold cup points...he'll be up front in the semi. Hockett and bud raced together in the feature. Haud was the man last night - his run in the dash was just what you expect from the wild child! Haha

I forgot just how big of a race the Gold Cup is. Sounds like the format is like the Knoxville Nationals with separate qualifying nights, and the alphabet soup on Saturday. I've been to the Knoxville Nationals and the King's Royal. If the Gold Cup's even half as cool as the Nationals, I'd love to get there.

Go Steve & Kraig!!!

Congrats to the Wild Child on his third Gold Cup win! His first in nearly 10 years. Not very many guys have three or more wins in this race. Steve Kinser has 12.

Sounds like Jason Meyers was leading until getting taken out by another car. Yes Pine a lot of good cars didn't make the race. Wanna say Schatz took a provisional? Give us a report Spridgey.

Hockett was the lapped car that spun in front of meyers. He felt pretty bad. The battle in traffic was just shaping up. Steve put on a pretty good show, but only after contact on barnes sent jayme into a horrendous series of flips. One of the most mangled cars i've ever seen. A scuffle ensued after the race and steve won over some crew guys! Ha! Also sammy apparently went after brent kaeding after the race but i didn't see it. Hockett was really fast in the b but too loose in the a. Sweet was very fast but his progression stalled out late in the race. Four guys over fifty years old in the top seven...haud was sensational! Average age in the feature was 37, so congrats to shane on being the only teenager in the field.Great track and great event! I had a blast...
