There were 3 around him, not sure exactly which one actually got the deed accomplished after several laps of trying. I'm finished with them.
They can have their club the way they want it. I'm starting a new Midwestern TQ league and possibly adding a mini sprint league. I love racing and want to do all I can to get a respectable racing league out there again. |

Thanks for the update. I've known the Martz family since the mid 1980's (back when I was involved with UMRA). They are good people and I'm glad Tate was nothing more than a little banged up. |

Are you going to make it a Honda only club or can I run my newer Kawasaki without being penalized by additional weight, etc. :respect:

This rivalry between the Goffs and Martz goes back a long time. If anyone one here is real familiar with TQs then you guys should remember back to the '01 Rushville Natls when Martz was checked out and then under a red flag Terry Goff complained that Martz was leaking fluid so he was black flagged under the red. I was standing at their trailier right when they pushed the car in and nowhere was there any fluid, whether it was on the track or in the trailier that was complete BS. Also, when Bryce Townsend first came over years ago he was beating the Goffs every night untill they told UMRA to tear down his engine because he was "cheating". But its ok becuase pretty soon the Goff's podunk little house on 104th St. will be swallowed up by all the nicer neighborhoods in the outskirts of Guiest. If you guys only new how out of place they are everyday at their own house with their new neighbors.

The plan is to allow all engines as long as they fit within the specs. I definately don't plan on changing the rules to suit one driver. I want it to be a competitive league.

I was at Anderson last night and left after the tq heat races. 17 cars for a tq race is very disappointing. I know of at leat 7 cars that didn't go because of the ********. Maybe it is time for a change. Hopefully Jennifer can get things corrected. Now its time to move on to Fall sports.

I don't want to drag their family into this. His mother seems nice enough and for the most part the Goffs are nice outside of the track. I'm all for passionate racing but there's a line you can cross and they crossed it more than once. |

just a question not pro or anti goff but what would happen when a so called green car pulled into a midwestern tq midget pits. would they not be allowed to race with this league or are all cares that fit the rules allowed to race?
to a real question is it time that the umra reduced the age limit to race to get more cars? I would say that they could get people that run mini sprints , kenyons, and focus cars. UMRA=:angry-smiley-007::headbang |
