I'm planning to go through Illinois on April 17th and have two options that I can find. I was hoping I could get a little info on these tracks. I know a couple people on here frequent IL tracks and can give me some inside info. Food, parking, whatever. I've seen dozens of WoO shows so I know what they bring to the table, but how is the crowd for them at Jacksonville? Is a local show at Farmer City worth my time? I assume both locations are good with tent camping.
1 Jacksonville - WoO show. Hour out of my way. $50 2 Farmer City - Local show. 6 classes! $10 Let me know what you think and thanks for any help. |

Jacksonville, then drive a little northwest because it's free grandstand admission at Knoxville on the 18th.
I feel like Jacksonville has sold out in the past, so get your ticket squared away beforehand. |

I'd recommend making the trip to Jacksonville, not just because that's my home track... but WoO puts on one heck of a show there. Some of the best race track concessions in the game. Promoter Kenny Dobson does a great job, as well as our track crew. One class show. Check out the Track Facebook page for more information.

Knoxville is the reason I'm venturing west. I've only been there once, 20 years ago for the Nationals. They announced the free opener and I decided to head back.
I'm leaning toward Jacksonville. I'm a sprint car guy and the WoO's product is top notch, except for their heat races. I don't really like the idea of a sellout crowd. I'd rather go for a relaxing evening at the track and I'm not sure that's what I'm going to get a Jacksonville. On the opposite side, watching 6 classes of fenders could be close to torture. Thanks for the info. |

It will be fun to go from the bullring that is Jacksonville to Knoxville on consecutive nights.
My plan was to be at Knoxville, but may end up at the IRA race that night. |
