Just posted on the tracks Facebook page.

Kankakee Speedway News - highlighting a Drivers generosity for local foster families to attend races.
P.S. I am posting this because I wanted to highlight the generosity by one particular driver and race team. Modified Racer #5 Steven Brooks.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Steven Brooks Motorsports, Georgie’s Closet & Kankakee County Speedway Announce Free 2026 Season Passes for All Kankakee County Foster Families.

KANKAKEE COUNTY, IL — Steven Brooks Motorsports, in collaboration with Georgie’s Closet and Kankakee County Speedway, is proud to announce that all foster families in Kankakee County are eligible to receive FREE 2026 season passes to Kankakee County Speedway.

Racing has always been a family-centered sport — built on tradition, community, and Friday night action. This initiative is designed to provide foster families with meaningful summer experiences and access to exciting, wholesome entertainment throughout the 2026 racing season.

Steven Brooks Racing is on a mission to bring awareness to the foster community while supporting local motorsports. By aligning passion for dirt track racing with heart for foster care, this partnership creates opportunities for families to build lasting memories at one of Illinois’ most historic racing venues.

“We are thrilled to have the Kankakee County Speedway back for racing in 2026 and excited to see Evan continue to grow what Billy started,” said Steven Brooks. “Racing is about family. If we can give foster families a place to relax, enjoy time together, and feel part of something bigger, that matters. Beyond entertainment, we hope to inspire lifelong fans and show kids the opportunities that exist within motorsports. We’ve never seen a kid have a bad time at the speedway.”

The 2026 season brings renewed momentum to Kankakee County Speedway, with Friday night action beginning April 17th. This initiative ensures foster families can be part of the excitement from opening night through championship season.

It would be awesome to see other race teams and tracks across the U.S. to come together and do something like this in the local communities.
