We went to Lincoln Park Speedway for the RaceSaver 305 show on Saturday. We have been racing there since the 1980’s. Through the years after 1996 I have seen a lot of stupid, and crazy things happen there mostly due to mis management. Mike Farrarr was a great promoter and after he passed the torch in 1997 it was quickly put out. Before I go and call out the last promoters for being worthless dirtbags I need to end this post on a very positive note. For the very first time since 1996 I left Lincoln Park Speedway happy, with a smile on my face, and looking forward to coming back! Funny thing is…we got rained out. Why was I happy? LPS gave us our pit pass money back! Why? Because it was the right thing to do. Another thing, LPS worked hard in the rain with equipment to get it in. We loaded a dirty race car into now a dirty trailer, burned five gallons of methanol packing the track, burned diesel in our hauler to & from the track…but we still left happy. If the last group were still there I wonder how that evening would have went……Kudos to the new promoters!!!!
