I didn't watch it live but it sounds like he had two holeshot wins to get to the finals, so not a fluke or anything like that. I always said that I thought Tony was the best I had ever seen that could hop into anything and make it a winner, then Larson came along and changed my mind but who knows, this may change it back.

I have no idea what goes thru smokes mind. but I know he's goal oriented. Would'nt surprise me a bit if he didn't pursue getting a Top Fuel Championship even if it took a few years.
Would only add to a unmatched racing championship list. Usac 3 crowns, Indycar. Nascar multi time. Alcohol dragster and maybe Top Fuel?
