With huge storms expected to blow thru Saturday around 2-3 am, decision was made to move this race up 24 hours. It may hurt attendance but otherwise there will be NO race. Who would have imagined a dirt track race in Indiana in March with temps in the 70's anyway.
Kudos to Josh Cunningham and the track for gambling and moving this race up one day. They were rewarded with a huge crowd. Even the field across from the track was half full of cars. Yeah, the night was windy, track was dry slick and dusty, but that's what you expected on the first night of the year. Fast run program, on the way home just after 10pm and beat the weather. Congrats to Kyle on a dominating win.
Last night was the night race fans dream about. Perfect weather for going there, being there and leaving there and the wind blew in the right direction making for a dust free bleachers. Large crowd for a last minute schedule change We all have different opinions but I thought the track worked in great. Hot laps started at 6:30 and except for the first ten laps of the modified show every thing went off without a hitch. Capping off the show with a no yellow flag feature, checkered flag waving at 10p All Princeton race fans went to bed last night with a smile on their face
One of the reasons I first came to this site was to read about races from fans that attended. Unfortunately this has mostly disappeared. Appreciate seeing at least a little discussion about an event rather than press releases, rules arguments, enforcements, and such.
