Is Matt Westfall not following the USAC sprint tour this year? Same question for the Hoffman 69, I don’t recall seeing any announcements about that ride. Both are absent at Florida openers.

This is the only one about Matt that I recall (& it doesn't mention the sprint car side of it)
https://www.usacracing.com/news/west...racing-in-2025 The Hoffman deal was a long thread and a bunch of back and forth on here a couple months ago. I gather that deal could be over. Smthn about them being the "entrant" but not really the car owner, etc, etc...proly under the convo about Bacon goin doing more winged racing...

Westfalls owner Ray Marshall retired as a owner at the end of last year. As far as I know he has a midget ride with 4kings dont know about having his own sprint car or not
Hoffman racing has been the car entrant for Bacon the last several ears but the car shop everything was out of Bacon's shop. They have however been running the Little 500 out of their own shop for the last several years and will do so this year. NO USAC this season.

I can't remember when the Hoffman team wasn't running a USAC sprint car. I guess all things change but hate to see it.

Thank you both. I really liked Westfall, kind of the everyman driver. I was hopeful he might snatch a win this year.
I recall the lengthy discussion on the Hoffman 69 now. Wherever the car was shopped, it’s a shame to lose what is an iconic car of the USAC ranks. |

Interesting statement Charles. So the 69 won’t run any usac at all?

To the best of my knowledge, That's what Rob told me. Just the little 500. He don't rule out running other races here or there and plans to race at least thru 2028 for sure. He also don't rule out that with the proper backing being back out there at some point.

The Woo was the late model division at Volusia last few nights. He will be doing mostly wing racing this year and a limited USAC racing.
