"Ralphie the Racer" Liguori was the last driver to win a USAC Sprint race without a cage. It happened Oct. 2, 1970 at Williams Grove. and as I remember his was the only car in the show that day without a cage.

Loved how the announcers dressed up back in the day.
That's one of my favorite things about the Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway. Scott Daloisio wears a tuxedo to introduce the starting line up. Ol' Skool style

This guy was a blast on track and off. And the NOVI showed his determination.
