When you're trying to tiptoe 3500 lbs through a flat corner, you better bring a tire that resembles house brick....but then we would hear them complaining about that. I just find it hard to understand why a series as big as NASCAR is, doesn't do their OWN tire testing, & then go to the manufacturer(s) with the specs.

This isn't the first time..... Back when it was just Ford and Chebby, they were always playing with spoiler/air dam heights depending on who was winning more.

I just thought about my comments eariler and I do have a question.

Its NASCAR that tells Goodyear what tire to bring to the race track isn't it?

So is NASCAR to blame, or Goodyear, or both?

They apparently are blaming it on the diamond grinding of the track? I guess its Tony Georges fault. They also said that once some rubber is laid down the problem will go away.

Nope....that's what the clown said.

I will admit to watching NASCAR racing (I hope that revelation doesn't get me barred from this message board :wink) when they don't conflict with a sprint or midget event. I gotta keep up with the fortunes of my boys Clauson, Wise, Gordon, Kahne, Bliss, Newman.....well, you get the picture. And I can even tolerate (barely) Larry Mac, Hammond, Rusty, Boogity Boogity, and some of the others. But, try as I might, I can't get through ten minutes of Kenny Wallace and Jimmy Spencer's drivel. I kinda feel sorry for the third guy there on the set. Just my opinion, but anyone who enjoys that combo is far more starved for NASCAR coverage than am I.
