I'm building my first car which happens to be wingless. I'm trying to understand the difference between the angle broached front torsion arm and the standard model.
I understand the need for the s-bend, but not so much on the other. If it matters I have a 53" axle.
Any help sure would be appreciated.

They both end up accomplishing the same thing, getting the arm out of the way of the wheel and tire, and still have it on the axle where you want it to apply pressure to the front wheels, I guess, only reason I can think of, keeps it simple.

The angle broached arm moves the contact point out 2 inches on the axle. You'll need to run a stiffer bar with the straight arm.
