hmmmmm i just gotta say it seems to me you people that are knocking chuck jr most likely have not talked to him in the last 6-7 years,or at all.
chuck moved to indiana taking a chance on living the dream and racing for a living,he left here on great terms with the car owners here.
he proved to be a winner here at a place thats reguarded as one of the toughest weekly show in northern california,he has won at placerville and chico so to say he dont got it is a false statement.
he now is running his own car as money permits and when not doing that he is wrenching his friend to main event wins,so give the guy some respect and maybe go talk to him and then form an opinion before defaming him on here.
chuckie congrats on last night and keep on gettin er done.

I'd have to put myself in the neutral category when it comes to being a Chuck Gurney, Jr. fan/non-fan. But, I do know what I saw last night at IRP (and, no, I didn't mean ORP). And that was that Darren Hagen had the chance to catch CGJ in Keith Kunz power and Kasey Kahne had his shot at him, on the last restart and we know what kind of equipment KKR has. Both top level pavement drivers, driving for very, very good race teams. And the fact is, Chuck won the Midget feature without really ever being seriously challenged, after the initial start. It was an impressive run. Nearly as impressive as the thumping that Bobby East would put on the entire field, later in the program.

A man is about as big as the things that make him angry.

Amen, Jerry. As an aside, the thumping East put on the SC field was in a backup car no less. Ouch!

The car owner has lived a long life he has pass on! In fact Chuck, drove for him many times! He bought Bud Keadings engines for him when Bud went back there to race.:applaud: It cost Bud lots of money to get his foot in that door! There is that word RESPECT!
One of jr's first rides? I think.

So if any kid wants to dream driving a race car, respect is the word! You keep your mouth shut! You don't

tell a car owner that it doesn't have it!:headbang When it does!

Does this help Seadog?

Now show us JR. Resume! What has he done in 6 to 8 years?

We all know it a lot of money to put a top sprint or midget out there.
If one was watching lap times most midgets were =last night.

The reason I pick Tony Hunt was he was a floor sweeper! He was that hungry.:applaud: Do I like paying $100,000 for a years ride No! Driver supplied motor!

CGJ Ran a great race! Let see how things go!! I don't know either driver, just looking at records. Do I support pavement racing, no. Have been to the real Coper at PIR lots of time and PPIR if you know where that was. I was just up set with AXE. This did happen with he was really young!

Gasman...if you would hire Tony Hunt and not CGJ cause of his record look at the number of Top 5's Tony has on the West Coast this year in his 7 starts.....0 and has pulled off of the track the first three races complaining of motor problems. I like both drivers but sometimes the grass isn't too much greener on the other side.

Let see CGJ's resume or press binder. What has he won? In the last 8 years. So, someone would want to pick him up. Can anyone help this young man?:thumb
