I recently sold a pavement midget chassis/body kit to a racer in the State of Washington - I'm in Ohio. He's having trouble finding a trucking company that will ship it to him. Anyone have any experience with a company that will handle this?

Strap it to a skid and hold on to your wallet. This will cost $400-$500 minimum. FedEx freight is good. Find someone that does business with them currently so you can use their discount, paying full price will hurt more.

That's what I expected. Any suggestions on a freight company?

Gerry Cook runs back and forth from the midwest to California all the time. I know he takes stuff to the west coast for Indy Race Part all the time.

In 2008 I shipped a Beast pavement midget frame , body and some boxed parts from Dundee, Michigan to Seattle. Shipper was Hoover Motor Express. Cost was about $500 shipped to a business. I hope this helps. Mounted frame to two skids with banding straps. Got there okay in about 5 days.

Might check with fastenal if there’s one close to both of you. Guy at local store said you can ship stuff from store to store for cheap.

I sold one last year to a guy in Washington State. He used old dominion. We put it on a pallet and wrapped it up. They picked it up and that was it
