Darland passed Ballou early in the 50’s.
Ballou passed Darland on lap 64 in turns 3-4 to take the lead. Finish Ballou Darland Windom

Hats off to Paragon Speedway & staff for holding this event in honor of Chuck Amati and family. I have only missed one of the 9. I always make it a point to see this race at Paragon even if I can’t make the 150 mile drive for any others during their season. I’m sure going to miss it if it goes away. I mean who runs long features like that anymore? I’m so blessed to have witnessed some great racing at Paragon over the years. Thank you Paragon Speedway. 🏁

My first Amati race and I thought it was awesome. Almost three sprint car features for the price of one. Hope it stays around with the new owner.

I thought last nites Amati 68 was exceptional. You could've thrown a blanket over Farney Ballou Darland Windom for a lot of that race. The battle between Darland and Ballou was nothing short of epic. Those two raced each other extremely hard. Either driver could've took the other out, several times and didn't. I left Paragon last night, really happy that I went.
I gotta thank Keith Ford for what he's given us the past 3 decades. Think of all the kids who've strapped into a sprintcar for their first time ever at Paragon. All the older guys who have wrapped up their driving careers at Paragon. Keith hasn't followed the status quoa, he's done things his way. And that's been just fine with me. Thank you Keith! |

A very entertaining event! The competition was unbelievably close throughout the feature. They raced as though it was a 25 lap event!
