What a bummer, feel sorry for Robert.
Wonder if USAC had anything to do with this?

Anyone who says midget racing is in dire straights didn't attend Indiana Midget Week

To bad. Purse was real top heavy. 10th paid 375, at least that was posted once .As far as committed the list on the flyer was suspect. Bad deal all the way around. As one driver told me there will either be 5 or 50 cars.

Two mulit car teams and less than a handful of others traveling USAC tour.

It's in Dire Straights. Not badmouthing anyone, Just there are over 300 full up midgets out there and your never sure if you'll see more than one heat and a feature if you travel to a show. (Other than Midget week and Chili Bowl)

I wish Powri could somehow limit costs or technology on cars, where 35 cars would show ...even if it meant that high dollar big sponsored teams weren't there. But that's just me

There are 4 teams that have made all of the USAC national events, there would be 5 but the 84 car missed a few due to driver injury.

I would say team fatigue and getting ready for PA. Not sure what USAC could have done.
