To make silly statements regarding crowd size leads me to question your ability to count. It is my belief that Haubstadt has the second largest number of seats... second only to Lawrenceburg's new configuration. Haubstadt's backstretch seating holds more people than the entire seating at the other venues, except for The Burg, and now Kokomo with the new backstretch grandstands. Terre Haute has a large grandstand, but the seats under the roof are spread out... built for comfort, not capacity.
That being said, it only makes sense that Haubstadt host the finale. Best prepared racing surface, best privately owned facility, (Kokomo is going to have to address concessions on the back stretch now that they have to serve three times the people) and last but not least, I know I will get a parking spot within a reasonable distance of my seat without the fear of having to have someone pull me out after the race.
And the racing will be FANtastic....
The center of population for Haubstadt's fan base may not be Central Indiana, but you shouldn't discount the fan support for our sport in Southwestern Indiana...
Its like my friend from pa said.haubstadt is not the end of the world, but you can see it from there.it would be glorious if haubstadt were located near indy.we can dream.🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
Crowd looks to be weak. I am not sure that it was moved to a Monday night or weather related or both. It was good to a large crowd at the burg last night.
