A friend of mine just recently went down to visit his in-laws who live fairly close to the old site of Jungle Park. He and his wife visit them periodically. Not so much is he a race fan, but a history buff. I gave him the quick lowdown of Jungle Park and he provides me updates from time to time.

About four years back he stopped there and gathered up a bunch of dirt from where the track was, put it in a jar, and gave it to me as a present. I took it around with me from track to track that year, sprinkling some of it at each place I went. The last of it was scattered near the entrance of Kokomo Speedway.

A week, or so ago, he snapped a few pictures of the place and apparently they have erected a historical marker/sign on the site.

You gotta love the mailbox someone put up!

I would assume that he was The Racing Auctioneer !! Didnt know that he or a relative bought the place though. If you want further info contact the lady that runs the Circle Track Expo as she I believe bought it from Charlie !

I thought Charlie passed away several years ago.
