Best of luck to you Greg!

Organizations are reflectoins of their people; a person is reflected by their heart and soul.

Getting rid of Greg is the biggest mistake that USAC has ever made IMO. Best of luck Greg. I would think that somebody out there will hire you based on your talent and dedication. USAC's loss is somebody else's gain - for real.

I have always been a staunch USAC supporter, but they will not get my support on this.

For years USAC has thought they were indestructable, when they USED to sanction the Indy 500. Who sanctions that now?

Who will schedule another sanctioned Indiana Sprint Week and Indiana Midget Week in the next year or so?

Wonder who the real open wheel fans would support? :nonwingfan:

You all possibly could be wishing the wrong party the good luck as I don't think Greg will need it. I'm sure we all will support most anything he decides to do.

Over the weekend I posted an article on the IOW board wrote by Dick Berggren, talking about the closing of a number of short tracks over the past thirty years. Much of what Dick said in his article not only applies to track owners and promoters, but can also apply to racing organizations or sanctioning bodies. In todays economy will USAC still be around in 2009 (....10, ....11, or ....12?)

Greg has devoted the past three years to USAC as an offical. Did the powers to be at USAC listen to what the car owners, drivers, crews and fans wanted when it came to keeping Greg Staab on? That is a definite NO!!!! How many other issues or concerns of the car owners, drivers and teams will fall on deaf ears?

I have only had the pleasure of knowing Greg Staab for about six years, during that time frame I have witnessed first hand his devotion to the sport we all love. He truly is a friend to the racing community.

Good luck Greg, you know the rest of my thoughts, they aren't printable on the IOW board.

I hope there is a good reason for letting Greg go.Where do you find a person who has been into every aspect of the sport from a youngster to driver/owner to track promoter and I have yet to see one word from anyone who has posted on here to say one bad thing about him.He has had to be one of the most respected people that was at the usac office who was trying to make things happen and he had started the PA swing and I was looking forward to what else he might have been able to start next.In this day and age I will make one comment it is very hard to find a person like this that will just about do anything to promote the division like he has and also really care about the outcome for every owner, driver and fan there is, this type of employee is very hard to find these days because with everyone is it always about me, myself and I and forget everyone else.

1) USAC is still a club is it not? Who voted Kevin Miller in as President?
2) I guess this means that races are going to be held without cars?
