I remember when race tracks was for race cars!!

Didn't do too good did he, even with one of the best open wheel dirt drivers as a tutor. Looked a whole lot like a NASCAR racer trying to negotiate the place. In fact a long long time ago promoters would encourage fans to bring their street cars on the track and race one another. I actually saw several brand new cars wrecked while trying to beat their competitor. ![]() Honest Dad himself ![]() ![]() |

I think it's pretty cool. A great way of exposing one of the best dirt tracks in the country and one of the most versatile drivers in the country to those who would likely never take a look at short track racing. To me it it is a couple of guys that get together and what if we.......or here hold my beer and watch this.
Spectator races were awesome! Remember racing with the All Stars and watching them after the races from the top of the trailer making $1 bets. Lastly, wish they would bring back more of the ride swaps like Gordon and Juan Pablo |
