What promised to be three great nights of racing has been reduced to a maximim of 1 1/2 with all the rain following USAC around PA. Over 70 race cars, about evenly split between USAC sprints & ARDC midgets, converged on Grandview Tuesday night. Congrats to both clubs for the turnout. The features were shaping up to be barn burners. All the USAC guys were there with New Jersey legend Billy Pauch turning second quick time behind Jerry Coons Jr. in the Hoffman car. Pauch would have assuredly been a factor had the feature been run. Defending ARDC champ Andy Martin and Steve Buckwalter put on a great show in their heat as well. Good to see RichH for the first time in a long while. Rich made the trip with Keith Wendell (itsanonwingthing). And it was also good to see Gregg Obst again. When the Grove cancelled about 3 p.m. I decided to cut bait and head home. I hope that they get the Big Diamond show in so the USAC guys have something to show for their efforts. And, speaking of efforts, kudos to Gregg Staab for his efforts putting together the Eastern Swing.:applaud::thumb

I don't know what else Mother Nature wants from me. I planted a tree on Arbor Day and I bought a Prius. What the heck more can I do ?!?! :headbang

Did you throw old batteries in the trash?
Fuel your car before 6pm?
Use a gas-powered mower?
Take a 30 minute shower?

Could be that pop can you didn't recycle.... I hear she's really sensitive.

Thanks for the smile Gregg. Think Pennsylvania Desert. Maybe if we all think it, the skies will clear.
