Thanks Nathan, It was a great experience for all. It will be great when the place is done. Track was good smooth black slick by features, and no tire wear. Sprints were good to see, and I believe the class will grow. Alot of talk in the pits about others building them. Mods were awesome 4 wide racing with the wider track. I would suggest getting there early to get a good parking spot. Got there at 6:30 and had to park out by the road. Ed Kennedy has raised the bar for short track racing.

Black slick is a good thing? To me a good selling point would be smooth, tacky with a nice cushion for drivers to lean on.

There were 10 Dirtcar Pro Sprints which is pretty good for a brand new division. Joe Gaerte helped 4 teams get to the track and Scott Benic 2.3or4 more in the works so things look good.

Some modified drivers like black slick. I don't but I must admit the racing was decent.

If only they could complete their program before Sunday, talked to a few friends today, said they left at midnight and there was still racing going on...
First race of the season glitches? Maybe. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this week but if your hot laps start at 6 and racing at 7, to be running past midnight is a bit sad. I mean if the racing and car counts are good than I have no issue but that's a bit late for me if I'm coming from Fort Wayne...

Nate they had a 45min delay because one of the drivers had a medical issue in the pits and the ambulance/infield paramedics needed to attend to the situation. Driver is a ok thankfully. They would have ended before midnight if it wernt for that.

In that case I spoke in haste, but in my experiences there it hasn't exactly been ran in a timely manner either so that's why I assumed it just ran over because of their time management.

A lot of the time it's the stock cars and bmain for the mods that are the hold up there. Too many cautions.
