Sorry, didn't see that but do now.
I really don't think the whole point is being said, When AR goes under. Whats to keep Purple from charging anything they want? A lot of the guys running purple do so because the RR is mandatory and its easier to both, Deal with one distributor and two, make the brand work well with its matching compound. I also think tracks making mandatory corners or all should have the harder option available. They shouldn't have to go out there knowing for a fact the RR will be gone or it become a race of attrition due to blow outs like the last Bubba race was. Making things last, that's for Champ Cars.

Have a phone ?
I don't know how it works in Indiana but if I wanted to know for sure what was going on I'd call the promoter's personally, if I was running a car. Otherwise I'd just go enjoy the races, cuz theres nothing you can do about it. Inless of course you decided to draw a line in the sand and not attend the races. Do that and your likely to have the same **** racing we have here, modifieds, fendered four cylinders ect as your main course. If that doesn't make you lose your appetite I don't know what will. |

![]() If we are really worried about costs then make it to were you have to run a stock block chevy right out of a boneyard and put carbs back on them. I grew up down south and they did that for years and the pits were always lined up every weekend. ![]()

I was going to try and race some more MSCS shows this year but I over the winter purchased multiple American Racer tires for most of the season and now only have a few places to run. I like running other tracks and run them on off night from Paragon when I can. Now I would have to go buy more tires or track down some used tires. My biggest issue is were does it stop, I bet if XXX Chassis or any other chassis manufacturer went to a sanctioning body and said here's $8 to 10 thousand dollars make them all run our chassis. How would all the people saying just suck it up be saying. It is the point, and I understand that it cost money to run tracks and sanctioning bodies, no real notice and feeling bullied into running a specific tire on all for corners. I will not be racing at any of these tracks or sanctioning bodies this year. How about you take a guy and let him run with his tire of choice and the right rear that is the rule and he is not eligible for the points. I have run before in places were if you run said manufactures decal and you finish in the top three you get x amount of money on top. Why not do it that way take your money and make it an incentive to run a specific brand of what ever tire, engine chassis or whatever. I'm not ******** that racing is expensive, it always has been and always will be but in my opinion there are better ways to do thing that make it more appealing.

You wouldn't see those wings like in the posted photo. Also there would be no discussion about rules, because there were none. Maybe I'm showing my age but I was around when the first plywood wings started showing up. I knew they were going to suck a lot of wind. Your stock block thing makes sense except that you can have a stock block with a stock crank running a carb and still make insane horsepower with good heads. if you don't mind destroying a bottom end now and then. You have to keep on adding rules as guys start toeing the line. Back to tire rules, they no good. Maybe r/r that's it. |
