When I received my Indy 500 tickets yesterday, there was a very large sticker with the words "Underweight Reject" in the area where the postage sticker was placed. The envelope is very heavy due to the unusual ticket material, so I don't understand the Underweight Reject language. How about it Danny Burton?

Most mail goes through a sorter, If its overweight for postage paid then its kicked out into another pile. Probably something similar. It got where it needed to be, Guess thats all that matters.

They must not of weighed it properly when they sent it. They are charged by the ounce. Not quite sure how it works but they are sent USPS permit mail which I think allows the post office to charge the sender (IMS)extra without returning it for insufficient postage or asking you for postage due.
No sticker on mine. It is a neat look to the tickets this year. but I always fold mine an put it in my pocket, now I can't do that. We are all going to have to buy ticket lanyards now.

Yes, it is a neat look! I have used a ticket lanyard for several years, as I feel it it the best way to keep from damaging the ticket. I have everyone of mine dating back to 1965.

I have worked in the postal/mailing industry for over 20 years and one thing I have learned is most people working there (USPS) do not have a clue about mail. Luckily you got your tickets. Enjoy!
