BOSS Announces a Pair of Schedule Changes

The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series is gearing up for its biggest season to date with a record 22 events on the 2016 schedule. The action begins on Saturday, April 30th when the series returns to the site of its birth in 2011 at Atomic Speedway (formerly K-C Raceway). Sixteen different tracks in three states will play host to the tour. Defending series champion, Shawn Westerfeld of Guilford, Indiana has announced that he will return and attempt to become the first repeat series champion in history.

Two changes have been made to the originally released BOSS schedule. The Friday, July 29th race date has been moved to Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, Indiana. This will mark the first ever appearance for the series at TCRP and will keep intact the originally scheduled Hoosier state doubleheader. The next night, the series will travel to Lawrenceburg Speedway for the 3rd annual "Jason Soudrette Memorial".

The race originally scheduled for Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio on Saturday, August 6th has been moved back one week to Saturday, August 13th. The "Jack Hewitt Classic" at Waynesfield Raceway Park was also scheduled for August 6th. For the benefit of everyone involved, the tour has elected to take the night off so teams can participate in that event to pay tribute to one of Ohio's biggest racing legends. The BOSS series would like to thank WCS promoters Jason and Kristin Flory for allowing us to move this event.

Watch for exciting announcements in the coming days as drivers confirm with BOSS officials and that plan to run for the 2016 championship! The tour will continue down the path that has made it successful. The series is open to any commercially available racing tires, will have no weight rule and there will be absolutely no memberships or entry fees. Be sure to follow up with more information on the website at buckeyesprints.com and follow the series on facebook and twitter for the latest updates.

And this is why Boss is one of the best series around. Kuddos to working with Waynesfield and not overlapping on dates!

Been making plans for that July 29th race. Guess we will drive a little farther & still hit a new track. Depends on the 1 brother after all it is for his birthday that is July 27th & the 29th would have been Dad's birthday, either way we are still taking it off & spending it with each other. Brothers day so to speak.
