That's not good to hear. I'm sure if it was going to be open this year it would of been on midget week which is concerning. Of course though nobody never supports it so not that surprising. Kenny Brown ran the track last year to keep the doors open

Not speaking for Kenny Brown, but coming off a 3-4 day week on the road, then having to promote a show at a track you operate isn't easy. We did it last year when our MOWA sprint finale was at Jacksonville on a Sunday. We don't plan to do that again. Absolutely no way to really prepare when your whole crew has been on the road all week. I wouldn't read anything more into it than that. Expect Belleville to have plenty of midget races in '16.
Also, Lincoln has historically been a part of POWRi midget week. We had been rotating the Thursday show between Jacksonville and Quincy until last year when there was a non-racing event at the fairgrounds in Lincoln. With that gone, and with Track Enterprises taking over Lincoln from us, Lincoln deserved their midget week race back. So everything considered, it worked out well to go Quincy, Jacksonville, Macon, Lincoln... You could almost stay in Springfield after the first night and be within 30-45 mins of the rest of the races. And the POWRi officials can worry about managing a race series for a week instead of a race track.
Finally... SDHill is right. When you are at Macon on Saturday you aren't that far from the Indiana border. Instead of heading back Southwest toward St. Louis, you can now shoot up the road to Lincoln and still not be that far away. A zig to the North might be better than a zag back West.
