TQ

They are both Midget race cars with optional engines and drive systems. The big difference in DII and Montpelier is that Montpelier allow National Midget Motors also. They limit the RR wheel to 10" wide and allow only one RR tire per night. Being a smaller track they race pretty good with one another but the newer National motors have an advantage. DII is restricted to Motor cycle powered cars (Mini Sprints and Kenyon) and cars powered by Stock Block>Cylinder Head>Crankshaft> late model Automotive engines.

All DII cars are welcome at Montpelier >>>some of the Montpelier cars are not allowed to race with DII.

The rules are available at

http://www.montpeliermotorspeedway.com/rules/

http://www.midwestd2midgets.com/rules.html

The purpose of the poll is to see where people are at as far as how much do they want to modify the engine >>>looks like they will remain pretty close to stock for the DII next year >>Translated "Inexpensive" but competitive.

Well I have a tq at the moment I looked at wheel base and I am right within the rules have thought about putting an eco tech in my car and running it as a d2 midget or my another qualifying motor per rules. So to make sure I got it the only difference between the 2 tracks is a tire rule and they can't have a a motor that would run with usac

tq

Wheel base should be 65+ inches you are probably real close with either group. Might need to add a little weight though. That should fill up your engine bay somewhat.
