Does anyone know what car it was that hit him? We were there but everyone sitting in our section wasn't sure...debate was between the 91, 23, 5. Either way, tragic. Hopefully something positive comes out of this such as helmets for on-track workers at a minimum.

I had heard the 99, but I didn't see it until after the car hit him.

Considering that it happened one car in front of me I am going with the Orange 41 it is normally a 4 but there was a duck tape 1 on it. This will be on memory that i will never forget. I feel really sad for his family and wish them the best. And for all you track workers out there please never turn your back to traffic. He never saw the car coming. And even though it may not seem like it when we are spun out or get moved back we all do appreciate you help.

I feel bad for he and his family. At the end of the day it's just a race and I am assuming that those people are basically volunteers that do it to be a part of it.
I have so much respect for the people who give their time to help put on an event such as that. Without them the wheels really can't roll.
For Roy's family and everyone involved, Thank You for your involvement and I wish you the best.
