In another post someone mentioned it would be Tracey's last run at 4 Crown Eldora. Anyone have any scoop on this? Is he retiring from driving or giving up nonwinged and heading winged racing next year?

I believe he is going to run the NASCAR truck teams for the Carolina Nut people at a livable wage that he couldn't refuse.

Let's hope he can pick up a win or 2 at the big E. I didn't realize he was 3rd on all time usac sprint feature wins, behind Dave and Tom. Quite a career. Always enjoyed watching him

Around 90 plus USAC wins walking out the door. Many of the teams he drove for.....he ran the team and did a majority of the work on the cars. Won championships and nearly every major race that non-wing racing has to offer.
I've had a lot of guys ask me over the years what it takes to race full time and my example has always been Tracy. Never gets out worked, willing to sacrifice, always persistent and wins big races. A lot of guys with a lot of talent have come and gone because they weren't willing to work hard enough to stay in the game. Like him or not....you better respect him . Guys like him are few and far between and are sadly rare these days. . |

And he's leading the points in the USAC Midget division. The only division he hasn't been the champion of. What a way to go out, if he could do that and join DD, Jerry Coons and Pancho, as having won all three. And of course Tony and J.J., who won all three in the same year. He nearly got him a Midget title several years ago, when he was edged out by Cole Whitt by a couple of points.
