Wanted to take a min. to let everyone know Rod the cop at the gate at Kokomo passed away in his sleep last night in Wisconsin while on a fishing trip with his friends.

Rob was a good friend of ours and never missed a chance to make us laugh

Very sad news.
He always enjoyed pestering our little "guard" dog (as he referred to it).
And, was always grateful when my wife would bring him homemade cookies.
Nice man whose presence will be missed.

Rest is peace rod ...always nice to talk to ..will be missed

I have had a lot of people calling and asking witch one was Rod, Rod was the big black cop that always had a smile on his face.

Rod was a close and true friend that will be missed by all of us at Spencer Racing

Today we have lost a good man. Rod had always treated me and Ailsa with the upmost respect and humor since our first visit to Kokomo Speedway in 2011. Rod remembered us from then on, and become part of our racing family. I'm quite lost for words at his passing. God bless.
