I thought it was a real good race. The first half was especially good. Swanson definitely the fastest car. He could keep it straighter and take care of the tires too. I was happy to see a full field, and good cars. Nice day!

For those about to rock, we salute you.

First off, many thanks to all contributors with updates. Truly, well appreciated.

I really appreciated getting to expand the victory lane photo and see that he had at least another 10 corners of hard drive on all 3 rubber visible exhibits.

Again, many thanks to all. If it ain't dirt,it aint gonna work.

Any chance they could just pay Kody half the win money to keep it parked and then let everyone else race for the win?

First time I had been to Springfield since the mid eighties; it was a very good race, and it was run in front of a sizable crowd. Wasn't very impressed with the procedure for getting cars and fans
through the gates. Way too many steps involved, causing backups at the gates. I like both Illinois state fairs, but prefer the atmosphere at DuQuoin.

I saw the grandstands from the infield half way in and sizeAble is not the word I would have chosen. The car count was much healthier than the crowd. There is just not enough promotion of the race especially inside of the fairgrounds.

Crowd will take time to build back imo. The years of small car counts hurt for sure. Yesterday was the first I had gone to in several years. A product like they put on yesterday will go a long way to bringing crowds back.
