2010, It looks like Shane Hmiel won the last USAC pavement race run. It was at Winchester. That will change now that wingers on pavement will be under the USAC banner.

Just a guess but maybe....Bigelow in the Kneeper K&K Garage Special...it might have been a Staap car with a spring leaf front suspension?? I know that was the car Walter traded to Tommy Thomas for the midget that son Steve started his career in!
I know in 88 they were using the same cars dirt and pavement even if some had cars that were pavement, the ride height could be changed back and run on dirt.
In 91-92 I went to winchester and a couple of he cars I wouldn't even call sprints.
How about USAC going back to sanctioning Wings like they did in the late 80s! I watched Brad Doty Win a Winged USAC A-Main at Paragon in 1988 in the Jack Runyon 7R! This was just before his career ending crash at Eldora in Stanton's car.
