Yes sir, one of the tracks we run at I believe is close to 6000 feet above sea level most are around 5000 feet. And our tracks consist of something between dust and pea gravel! Colorado dirt is not racin dirt! It sucks. We went to Dodge City for the 4th of July for the first time and it was like the movie "Field of dreams" running on that clay is a beautiful thing! Dave

One other thing, with the crap dirt we race on it pretty much turns the honeycomb radiator protector to junk in about 2 races, can I get away with some sort of metal screen to protect radiator from rocks or will it plug up with mud too fast? Not that we ever see mud, that would require watering the track!

You might want to invest in an exhaust analzer at those altitudes your fuel maps might be off a tad.

Try https://www.metalsdepot.com/ and get some perforated aluminum or expanded metal for a radiator protector.
That probably won't hold up either, but should last longer than the honeycomb. Might want to get some aluminum angle or square tubing for a frame.
