Great to see some racing at the action track and all I can say is it looks like the madman was on a mission today doing whatever it took to get to the front. As for the feature race between the madman and the rocket I applaud both drivers for racing each other the way they did good hard and clean both deserved a winner's paycheck after that show they put on.Final thought is the action track is back and I have been waiting almost a year to get back here glad to see it is in good hands now and lets enjoy the 2008 season there.

The last five laps were certainly worth the dust. Welcome back THAT!

You can always tell when you've just witnessed a great one. Some folks are running for the exits on the white flag lap or right when they throw the checkered, but not as many as usual. Most are just kind of standing around, in stunned silence, looking at one another, with that "Wow!" look on their faces. I've seen it dozens of times at Haubstadt. I've seen it several times at Kokomo. I saw it in October 2006 after the Clayton-Stanbrough THAT war. And I saw Robert Ballou and Jesse Hockett cause it to happen again last night. The first part of that race saw conditions that were challenging, but everything from the delay after the red flag, was Instant Classic material.

You never know, John. In Melvin's mind, maybe he really thinks he saw both races. He's the lucky one. That's the one thing that limits me, as a race fan. I can only be at one track at a time.:rolling

Very good show for the first race by DHK promotions. We can only expect better things in the future.Great to visit with alot of people @THAT, family, friends that are the same as, IOW ER'S, SHORTBUS, WALLS RACING & Zak, RonMil, Jerry Shaw and one gentleman in the infield that introduced himself, damn I can't remember his name:headbang, used to post here but got beat up pretty bad for being a modified fan.
This brought back alot of memories from years gone by, more than I need to remember.I know from talking to some of the drivers/teams/owners some were not crazy about pitting in the infield, but all in all it was awesome from my point of view.
Can't wait till the USAC show in a couple of weeks:thumb

I met kyle (talk2drivers.com) while walking in the pits before the race. I wish I could have met some more of you before the race, but I went to put all my stuff down in the turn so I didn't have to carry it.

For a look at the trophy, take a peak at my story on openwheelracers.com. Also, a shot of Ballou in action during the heat race.
