So all cars that transferred from heats into feature can't be ready? Guess they should've went to the drivers meeting then
Let's face it, no one would be crying about this if it wasn't this board's precious favorite Dave Darland. They can't face the fact that Dave screwed up and he had to pay the penalty for it and now everyone wants to cry about it.
I think it is a great idea. it shouldn't take longer then 5 mins to get to the staging area. I believe the outlaws have a similar rule and it seems to work fine there.
Ok, tracks the bar has been set. No more yelling on loud speakers about get to staging now. I've been there. 95° day, humidity to match. You strapped in,gear on, setting in staging the track runs 2 heats from another class and takes intermission.

These 5 was still on the track ready to go 20 minutes before one car fired. I believe most of them was on the track before the never ending interview with Mod Feature winner Kenny Wallace was over, maybe they should have docked Kenny Wallace 2 spots. Show was over at 10:00 so that tells you how much they held up the show. Looks to me like USAC wanted to get some of their regulars towards the front.

Bacon Ran the B, Had to change a motor between B and A, Was late, Was docked two rows. Hows the point leader not a regular?
I've seen quick turnarounds but without at least 15-20 minutes pit time, I wouldn't just say it's irrational, But possibly dangerous, You need to torque several things, Torsion stops, and a general once over before ever returning to the track, Along with adding fuel, Changing a tire or two, checking stagger. Seen it dozens of times. A wheel goes flying, A torsion stop falls off and the car goes flipping down the track.
Again, I got no problem, Think five minutes after a fifteen minute downtime should be good, Was that given or not?

Bacon and Leary are regulars darland and others at terre haute were regulars. That reasoning doesn't hold water bud. Think maybe it was over by 10 BECAUSE they are enforcing the rule? Just sayin...

Ur right bud, my bad . I know who the regulars are 3 of the 5 are. I was just talking in general and saying not one of the 5 cars held the show up. I did not want to say they wanted the 12 on the pole rather than the 57 and wanted the 2E pushed back to get some regulars moved up. 2 and 57 did not hold the show up Just Sayin . Good luck to all tonight USAC regulars and locals.
