Very decent crowd and quite breezy and chilly. Despite that the track was made for lots of passing opportunities and they were taken.

Hud Cone was pretty much perfect in winning the B Main. And if Brady had another lap or so, Levi might have been 2nd. But take nothing away from either young men; both ran outstanding races.

Sprint feature checkered at 10:10 p.m. 3 of 4 NQ transfers made the A Main.

Article tomorrow.....I hope.:O:

Met Chris and a fine "young" man named Clinton Bledsoe. Clinton came under suspicion by IOW.com inspectors Shaw, Clock, and Hoover.

Bob, Monica, Keith, Aero, Tim, and several other familiar faces were in Jackson County. All were half frozen, but loving it.

The heat race action was amazing - 3 and sometimes 4-wide! A very windy evening, at least as windy as the Gas City USAC show, dried the track by feature time. Congratulations to Tim and the staff at Brownstown Speedway for a fine evening of racing!

Great job Brownstown. Program was on schedule all nite. Great track for sprints, as the other post said. 3 and 4 wide at times. Worth the 2 1/2 hour drive from Kokomo. One of the last tracks that will still let you take your cooler and snacks in the stands, very fan friendly.. Kokomo tomorrow, just wish they could have raced at T.H.A.T. on Friday.D.D and Cottle never could get their cars to hook up all nite.

That's the second time I've been to Brownstown and the second time I've said that I would definitely go back there, again. A well run show at a really cool, nostalgic looking facility. The track didn't look that racy, to the eye, but as soon as the green dropped, it was obvious that looks can be deceiving. The heats were Haubstadt quality. The feature was action packed and racy enough to have almost allowed a driver to come from 16th to win. Brady's doing some amazing things, right now. All in all, the best night of racing I've seen this year. By far!

Hung out with the usual suspects and got to meet Clinton Bledsoe, Jr., for the first time, even though he's posted on the board, forever. Nice guy.

A great night of racing. Track was pretty racy all night. Farriswheel, Kyle did a great job. In the heat and feature they had problems with the bleeder. The RR tire went down to less than 4 psi in both races. He was up to 5th before the crazy bleeder fubarred with about 5 or 6 laps to go. That bleeder will be ceremoniously chucked to the woods at the Cummins shop. Congrats to Levi and Brady they drove a great race.

As stated by others it was a terrific night of racing. The best heats I've seen in some time. Kudos to Brownstown for a well run show and for a very racy track. Very nice to finally meet Clint Bledsoe. Sat most of the night with Jerry Shaw, John Hoover, Bob & Monica, and the Merry Mailman, Danny B. Also talked briefly with Mudpacker, and NALON (Patrick). Tough night for both DD and Cottle. Brady Short is on a roll. Came from 16th to give Levi all he could handle. Hud Cone was impressive as well although not getting a good final result. I look forward to returning to Brownstown for the rescheduled MSCS race. Hope they set a date for that soon. :thumb
