The straw is a good Idea. Went to the '02 Silver Crown race at the New York State Fairgrounds, held in conjunction with the Super DIRTweek for big block mods. With a wet forecast several teams brought mulch with them ($3.99 a bag a some gas stations) and laid it down in their pit area. Worked very well. Here is the car JJ Yeley drove for.

PRETTY GOOD IDEA!! even if it ain't wet!

thanks for the information. I will be leaving about 2 from Dayton. Plan to take pictures and write a story for openwheelracers.com and other publications.

Can someone tell me what the new entry rule is for USAC for non members. At Gas City they said you need to be a member or you would have to pay an extra fee does anyone know what that is. We are a small team and can't afford the 350.00 membership fee for USAC to run a fee local races.

I normally just tell people that I used to play iinfield for the Phillies, White Sox, Tigers, and the Pirates ...
Actually, it is not that uncommon of a name.
Again, thanks for the updates. They led to the decision here to make the two and a half hour journey to Brownstown.

$30 Mem/$40 Non-Mem & Late

PIT CREDENTIALS
Members agree to pay $25.00 per entrant, $25.00 per driver and $25.00 per each crew member.
Non-Members will pay $30.00

As of I believe May 1st...

No more free TP's. They are charging $20.00 for Non-member TP's plus $30.00 for non-member pit passes
