The ASCoC crew did a lot to slow down the program. The crowd roundly booed the ASCoC officials when they were trying to get Stevie Smith's crew off the track, delaying the lap 24 restart due to the Henry-Reed shunt and the refuel red flag. The WRP track crew did everything to keep the dirt down for the fans as they faced an east wind in the grandstand, so a little more water time was necessary and welcome. With 45 cars, 5 reds from hot laps through the feature, a "C", a "B", and the "A", all in all it was a well run show on WRP part.

Did Janet tell them to tell Stevie to pull off over the raceiver ? I thought that was a bull crap call.

Stevie had no brakes. Not enough time to fix them.

Yes I never heard what happened as to why Stevie Pulled off. I know he was penalized by the All Star officials for delaying the red flag work time limit ( actually his crew). Once he was told over the radio he was going to the tail he pulled off the track. Thanks for the kind comments on the WRP staff I'll make sure to pass it along. We take pride in our facility and program and sometimes when your hands are tied it's tough. Thanks everyone for coming.
