The personal property for the Nichols Family Estate will be sold at a public auction located on Falcon Drive in Columbus (Bethel Village), Ind. on Sunday May 4th at 12:30 pm.

Highlights include furniture, household items, tools, garage items and numerous other assorted miscellaneous items. Photo’s of some of the available items can be viewed at www.auctionsandrealestate.com.

For more information contact Mensendiek’s Auction Service and Real Estate, Mike Mensendiek, Jon Claycamp and Brad Weber Auctioneers, AU08900147. Phone (812) 523-6664 or (812) 342-3264, email mensendiek@tls.net.

Not responsible for accidents, lunch service available. Items sold as is.

I have been contacted by Bob & Marilyn's daughter, Tena Mitchell, to let everyone know about the auction at her parents' house. Bob had quite a collection of racing items and vintage pieces which will be up for auction.

I scrolled through the pictures on the auction website and there looks to be several boxes of Open Wheel magazines. One that might be of interest to many is the March 1996 edition with Tony Stewart on the cover and the accompanying article "Tony Stewart is the Hottest Open Wheel Driver in America."

Head south on Indiana 11 from Columbus approximately 4-5 miles and turn right onto Deaver Road. Prepare to zig and zag a bit. Turn right onto Bethel Street at the church, a short piece of pavement, then left onto Collier St. A couple of blocks later, turn right onto Walnut Street, another short one. You'll come to a T intersection. Turn right again onto Falcon Drive.

If my memory is working, the address is 246 Falcon. Delivered mail there a few times. Talked to Bobby (what my dad called him) a few years back. He and Dad went to school together at Azalia School.
