I just read that he passed on Tuesday. Like Tom Carnegie at the Speedway; his golden voice will always bring back memories of the Hoosier 100 and Pacer games at the Coliseum.
RIP Bill.

Bill was quite the veteran broadcaster in Indianapolis. His distinctive voice was always a pleasure to hear and I enjoyed his call at the Hoosier Hundred. RIP Bill.

Bill had a great voice and was very knowledgeable. I remember his tenure as the announcer at Salem quite well. RIP, Bill!

RIP Bill. Your distinctive announcing talents, hard work and contributions to racing will be missed and never duplicated. Bonnie and I will miss visiting with you and Marge at the Indy track for practice and qualifications during the month of May.
