Josh: Why not tell the reason for the cancellation????? You're the Marketing Director and I would think you would have more information than "reasons beyond your control". Why a week before the race is it behind cancelled. Jim Mahan
Peoria Speedway had nothing to do with this decision. I, personally, do not know the reasoning. I said it's not the weather because the weather outlook is great. If you had any questions you can contact Roger Sollenberger, the promoter of the race.
Everyone come to Waynesfield motorsports park on Sep. 29th. They are having a big lighting Sprint race. Come and see how you measure up to Ohio Lighting Sprints.

Well for those looking for a big race to go to, don't forget MMSA is having the Allen Ruppenthal Memorial race at Brownstown paying $500 to win this Saturday.
Correct.... "Engler Machine and Tool" bring you the 3rd annual Alan Rupenthal Memorial Race at Brownstown Speedway this Saturday night.
With the economy the way it is currently these races and the races across MO last week suffered with low car counts, it's important that we support these tracks and series to insure ourselves a place to race.. I'd be extreamly greatful if some of you guys would come over and race with us Sat night...

The annual Fun Fest is going to be held in October at Brownstown Speedway. This is a sure deal. Brownstown is one of the best Mini Sprint tracks out there period. It will be THREE DAYS OF RACING. If the entry fee for the last race was raised to $50.00 and 30+ cars showed up and with just a little sponsor help we could have a $1500.00 to win race no problem. Brownstown has enough we could start 30 cars in the main and run 30 laps and make it one he11 of a race. Terry would probably come on board and make it a special event inside of a special event.
Those 3 mornings and afternoon's also make it possible to visit and talk with other teams in a more layed back atmosphere.
They would need to change the layout of funfest minorly but that would be worth it... I bet if we all got together we could shake the branches and get some sponsors...
