Would'nt expect much of a car count but you'll see a good race!
They ought to move this event back to late Sept. early Oct. for a better car count and cooler weather!

I live in Terre Haute. If I'm going to or from Indianapolis, I-70 has to be very bad before 40 becomes a viable option. By the time you factor the delays of getting through places like Plainfield and Brazil, the lower speed limit and slowing down for every little podunk town along the way, you have to have miles and miles of lane restriction on 70 to take that trip down to what it takes you to make the trip via US 40. And the way this summer's construction has worked, you usually encounter either two or three restricted areas max, in either direction.

With that said, I made the trip @ 3 pm yesterday afternoon and it is clear sailing all the way to Terre Haute, on 70 West. And 70 East looked to be pretty much the same, although there are parts of the eastbound that you can't see from the westbound. There are a gazillion orange barrels off to the side of the shoulder waiting for future construction, but none in the roadway.

Action Track at noon.

Also if you want to help pack the track, Reese said to be at the track by 4:30pm (I am going a bit earlier).
