When the low groove never becomes as fast as the high groove, It doesn't happen, You had 24 cars running qualifying laps and it takes a screw up by the person in front of you to get by. Actually the high line ususally slows a bit when it starts taking rubber allowing the bottom to be competitive.

DD gained on KT all through the feature and bobbled once, That amounted to a whole straight away loss of time.

Yes, we've seen great racing all year, Would have been last night, That extra shot of rain just kinda sealed the fact that the cushion would be the fastest line, no matter what.

Also low into one was sloppy.

How fast and how hard to pass was it? It took Bacon 8 laps to pass Bell for third!

COWBOY, You think them R W cars are Legal, USAC Is not smart enough to tech a car and know the difference. Them guys don't know the difference between a hammer & screwdriver!!
