I would love to say come on up for a great race Saturday night at I-96, but it's a 50% chance of t-storms all during the afternoon and evening, clearing late.
Do you think that promoter is going to risk losing his tail on this? I don't think he'll even make the teams haul their stuff up here before he calls it?
Im showing 40% now but everything fell apart over the lake today while we were watering. I think Mike will stick it out as long as possible and we will do all we can to keep the track racable. We have been pretty lucky getting the wet stuff to split us this year. Fingers crossed and lets finally get some real sprints up here!
I'm in Grand Rapids. The storm is not that wide. It is also heading to the north. I would think around 2pm today the storm will be past us anyway. Here is a local link to weather. Remember 96 is about 20 miles due east of grand rapids
It does look like it's breaking up right now. I plan to make the trip up so I hope they hang with it. I've never been there so it would be a new track for me.
It may not rain at all. this stuff fell apart yesterday. they have a 2 day show going on with late models sunday. i'm still kicking myself for not going to gas city midget week watching that weather channel. they have been advertising the h out of this show and i'm 70 miles away. I know a lot of people that are planning on going. lets race!
Yesterday we had 0% chance of rain and got a monsoon which cancelled the race. So, if you have any forecasted chance of rain up there, you should be fine. How's that for racing logic?
