I want to thank every single person in attendance tonight. Everyone put in a great effort and it turned into a great night with incredible racing in all classes.
I agree. If you missed this show you missed one hell of a show. We have such great racer supporters! 39 non wingers for a regular show.....wow!! Thank you everyone that races at WRP. And all the fans that come out to cheer them on.
It was even better for me as the Wife, Daughter & Grandbaby went with me as an early Fathers Day gift & I bought the Grandbaby 1 of them 2 dollar kids bags & she won. This was her 1st time ever attending a race & she got to go down & swap trophies with Luke Hall after he won the non wing feature. She will be 5 in August & we didn't know how she would take it. When the 1st set of hot laps for the non wingers came out & got the green she looked at me with eyes as big as silver dollars & said WOW.I've had alot of good times at the races but never as good as tonight.
Thank you for the nice compliment on the kids club packs. We will be adding bike give aways to that prize list in the next few weeks. We are glad you enjoyed your evening and we hope our sport gained a new race fan. Luke Hall and Matt Wesfall out on one heck of a show! Thank you and Happy Fathers Day to you.
Man I was hoping it wouldn't rain out but with what we got & the weather like it was (cool) it was a great night at the races.
1 thing I forgot to mention was the wife said I ruined her but hey she will like what she likes & the 1st thing she said this morning when she came over was she was thinking about last night when she got up. I think all I have to do is mention racing & she will be ready to go. She just about didn't hang long enough because she was yawning & wiping her eyes before the sprints rolled out. I told her to hang in there.
She also liked Vaughn's #36 modified because of the purple & he didn't do to bad with a 3rd place.
It indeed was an awesome night of racing @ WRP. I think I watched 28 races once the mini sprint A feature finished at 11:15 pm. That after a few rain delayed minutes getting hot laps completed safely. A good crowd given the mist and radar conditions around central Ohio. WOW, 38 non wing sprint cars! All 5 of the features were competitive and had the winner decided in the last couple of laps. WRP is the place to race in the Buckeye state.
Thanks for the kind words Will. Yes we had a drizzle right as hot laps took the grid and we delayed for a total of 45 minutes until we felt the racing surface was safe. We have always felt that our drivers put on one of the best shows around and they never fail to disappoint.
Join us this Sunday for our leg of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek.
