This is an email that I just received from Eldora:
for immediate news release
WET GROUNDS FORCE CANCELLATION
ROSSBURG, OH (April 4) – Heavy overnight Thursday rains inundated an already saturated surface and in the interest of safety and concern for the race teams, Eldora Speedway officials have reached a decision to postpone Saturday’s (April 5) planned race meet.
On the agenda was the annual Jud Larson/Don Branson Classic for non-winged USAC (United States Auto Club) Sprint Cars, Moser UMP (United Midwestern Promoters) Modifieds and Advance Auto Parts Stock Cars. That entire program has been moved to Saturday, May 10.

Had a bad feeling I was going to read this today. It sucks to waste what looks like to be such a nice day tomorrow. It wouldn't be Spring if a April race at Eldora wasn't cancelled. More than not, it just doesn't seem to work out. Guess Anderson only this weekend.....hopefully.

When you schedule ANY race you should be looking to run not cancel. But it seems if it's a "BIG RACE"(ie four crown, dream, kings) they wil do anything! If it REGULAR SANCTIONED race(ie USAC, ALL-STARS,Outlaws)they just throw in the towel a day or a week early and say o'well gosh it's to wet.

No DA track for me. Looks like Anderson on Sunday to watch USAC Midgets and the debut of BC Racing.
