They have been doing this for 10 years or so at Oskaloosa Iowa with winged cars the week of the Knoxville Nationals....is that the race you are talking about?

No this is something that could happen at one of the Indiana tracks. Sean Buckley posted it on his twitter account.

dirt track wise; may be wishful thinking on my part, but: it would seemingly have to be a joint that could 1. hold enough people to pay for it, and or hopefully or . have a sponcor to pay for it; which would seemingly lean towards lawrenceburg in my humble opinion (perhaps the burg got sponsorship $$$ from budwieser; lol) good news though, we need more big deal events for non wing sprintcar racing just to spice things up a bit, promote the sport and build a bigger fan base

This is the exact tweet:
On an even more exciting note, how does a $50k to win from last show at a certain awesome Indiana oval sound? |

Sounds great, but a lot of details to go over. I mean it'd be tough to win from the tail at Lawrenceburg in 25 or so laps. Haubstadt would be the perfect track for it but I know that'll never happen because too many people are tied to only a certain track and it's so far south. Kokomo would also be good but not a ton of seating.
Just an FYI, I am viewing this largely from a drivers perspective. Generally speaking the bigger the track the more strung out it gets. And yes I've been to all of the "Big 3"(as I call them) Indiana tracks. Posted via Mobile Device

Most of the time the Bonus money is actually "Insured". The track would have to pay a fee only... If someone did in fact win from the tail the track would not be the one to come up with the 50k the person, company, or whatever would then pay up. I believe this is how TMAC Promotions does in at Osky! It would be fun to have an event like that here in Indiana!
