OWNER ED KENNEDY ANNOUNCEMENT:
"Due to the overwhelming number of modifieds that raced with us April 27, we want to avoid sending so many mod drivers home without a better chance of making the A Feature. Therefore, we will be having a B Feature Challenge for Modifieds . . . or for any division that has such strong car counts," said Ed Kennedy. First, Plymouth will increase there A Feature car count to 22. Second, each B Feature winner will receive a trophy and a prize of $200. 2nd and 3rd finishers of the B Features will receive $150 and $100 respectively. Finally, here's the B Feature Challenge: the Top 3 for each B Feature have the option of transferring into the A Feature and giving up their B Feature earnings or keep their B Feature earnings and not race the A Feature. If one, two, or all 3 of the drivers choose to take their earnings, then the option to transfer to the A Feature will revert to the 4th, 5th, or 6th place B Feature finishers and so on until we have our full field of 22 cars! Mr. Kennedy commented "that this gives a better opportunity for all drivers to make their way into the show and leave the track with more earnings." The B Feature Challenge will occur for every division where one or two B Features are needed.

For May 4, Curt Spalding wins the B Feature followed by Kevin McCarty with Kyle Yocum taking 3rd. Curt and Kevin put on a great race for the $200 top prize and a trophy!
Curt accepted the B Feature Challenge. In the A Feature he started 16th and finished 5th. Awesome drive by Curt!
Kevin McCarty elected to take his $150 home with him. His position was filled by Craig Clay, who started last in the A Feature and finished a respectful 15th.
Kyle Yocum accepted the B Feature Challenge. He started 17th and finished 6th and had a great drive. He banked extra dough for taking the Challenge.
We look forward to offering the B Feature Challenge to every division this year at Plymouth Speedway!

Nice move. Makes it real interesting for everyone involved. Be nice to see a guy go from last to first in the A. He'd have to drive his butt off, but if he finished 5 in the B, it would be a spectacular drive.
