In around 40 years of seeing Sammy at Tri-State I have never seen him look so lost as he was last Sat. night. He has been a terror at that track forever but just went nowhere fast on Sat. I know he got Jason Meyers old crew chief for this year and that may not be a problem but something is wrong on that team. The only race he's won this year was from the pole at Merced and usually Sammy's been finishing back further from where he's started. He's fourth in points, I think, but it is a soft fourth. He qualified bad on Sat. and got stuck behind Levi and Hannagan in his heat race but any other time he would of had a head of steam and blown them away. Just wondering if anyone had a head's up on what, if anything, is going on with the team. I slightly detect friction and a loss of confidence for Sammy but that is just a conspiracy theory on my part.
As far as sammy. My filling are he has turned over alot of thing to there new crew chief. Sammy has always been hands on. I think you will see him go back to this shortly. He will not aloud this to continue for much longer. He does better when he know what work and what does not. And there current arrangement is not working . Just my two cents.
Sammy and Kinser my have there ups and downs but loose there touch have you lost your ever loven mind every night they show up what do you think 90% of the other drivers are thinking (although they would never speek it) I sure hope Kinser and Sammy have a bad night I'm tired of getting my ass kicked by those two!!!!!!
Sammy was stuck behind the eight ball from the beginning of the show Saturday. He was the first qualifier of the night and he miscued turn 4 on both laps putting him 34th on the charts. After that I think he decided to take a provisional instead of jeopardizing cracking a car.
